Helping Kids in East Africa
In April of 2014, Children's Minister Garry Bortz shared his adventures in East Africa with the Campbell Church family, and the desperate need that so many are facing in Kenya and Tanzania. For the full audio of that sermon, click here.

Change A Life Ministries
Change a Life Academy ministers daily to children four-, five- and six-years-old living in Mathare North. This area does not have many opportunities at all for young children to learn in a safe, loving, nurturing environment. CALA is a place for miracles.
The school is located inside the Mathare North Church building and is a welcome addition in the neighborhood.
The Boys & Girls Club meets every Saturday morning at the Mathare North Church building. They enjoy games, singing and Bible lessons in a safe, nurturing environment. They also enjoy a nutritious meal...a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Attendance is well over 2000 students every week.
We go to the streets to find kids just as they are, and offer them a new life. Our team is trained to take first aid, friendship, Bible study, food, sports, counseling, and the opportunity to go to a skills training school - all the things needed by children who are sleeping on the streets.
Want to make a lasting impact on the environment and provide social benefits for generations?
People of East Africa are suffering from lack of food due to drought caused by deforestation and climate change. The long-term solution is to reforest large areas where deforestation has caused increased temperatures and decreased rainfall. Help in our goal to re-forest the Kilimanjaro region of East Africa by planting 50 million trees! For just $2/tree, you can help make long-term change happen by bringing rain back to this region.
YWAM Kilimanjaro seeks to bring Jesus to the local Islamic community by providing for the needs of the community - schools for their kids. By building and in some cases, donating, schools to local villages in the name of Jesus, YWAM Kili is changing the perception of Christianity long held by the Muslims in East Africa. In an area where persecution of Christians is still taking place on a monthly, and at times, weekly basis, the YWAM staff faces many dangers in an area populated by Muslim extremist factions.
February 14-21, nearly 50 members of the Campbell Church went to Baja Mexico. The team built a home for a family in need, and threw a VBS for the children of the community. They brought hope to a community in need and they themselves received many blessings in return. This mission trip was organized through Amor Ministries who works closely with local churches in the communities they serve.
