Redwood trees are an amazing creation. While their roots run shallower than most, they very rarely fall because they intertwine and even fuse together, resulting in an ability to remain strong even amidst the greatest of storms.
You too are an amazing creation.
You were not created to be isolated or to feel alone. That’s why the Student Ministry at Campbell takes queues from God’s holy creation. We take root together, we intertwine, and we hold one another up through life’s deepest valleys and highest peaks.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:4-5
Like the redwoods, we fuse together, made stronger by merging together in community
We are incredible and can do BIG things together. However, we can never truly flourish apart from the One who created us all – God. And so, while we fuse and grow roots with one another, we also anchor firmly in Jesus.
